Collaborative Leadership Program

Program Goal

The UBC’s goal is 70% market share, and this program will provide the necessary tools to maximize individual productivity to achieve this goal.

Leadership is greatest in a collective team. By encouraging equal participation across all levels, a collaborative leader allow solutions to develop from the best ideas of the group, and take a team approach to problem solving.

Encouraging problem solving from all levels allows the uncovering of solutions that may have never seen the light of day, and helps in growing successful businesses that contribute to a sustainable world.

On most job sites, both collaborative leadership and command-and-control leadership will likely be needed to be successful, but because of our industry’s competitive nature, leaders with the skills to lead collaboratively will become a priority.

See What the Industry is Saying About Our Program

  • “I could not have had a better experience by attending this conference! I look forward to telling others inside and outside of my company what the UBC is fostering and accomplishing at the ITC. Everyone associated with this event treated me with the upmost respect. The facility itself is overwhelming with all of the different options and the high-tech training rooms, you can tell that the UBC is serious about providing the industry with highly trained personnel!” — Carl Stone
    Director of Operations Civil Maintenance
    BHI Energy

  • “This was a great experience for our team: Not only did we learn about ourselves and the importance of working in collaboration, but we also experienced the downfall of not working as a team first hand. The information opened our eyes to the many differences between our generations, to have empathy for our employees, and give our employees a chance to think outside of the box. This program brought great value to our company and we recommend this program for all leaders.” — Jeffrey Bonar
    Principle, Charleston Construction

  • “It was a fine event that was both insightful and very enjoyable. Mike Thompson, with PCI in Atlanta, and I were very impressed with the organization, the facilities, and the content. I also appreciate the opportunity to contribute on the panel and with some of the planning early on. Please feel free to reach out to me in the future if you need any assistance from the contracting sector on contributions to the planning and/or participation.” — Tim Long
Project Manager II, Performance Contracting Inc.,
    Mobile, AL

The presenters knew their info and were excited to be able to present it to the people attending. It was an awesome facility and the rooms were comfortable and quiet.” — Steve Alford
    Owner, Exhibitors Service Network

  • “The facility is FIRST CLASS!! From the rooms to the food, I have never been at such a first class facility in all my training experiences. The leaders and trainers at the conference were all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They made us all feel welcomed and were helpful in everything we did. Presenters were fantastic with their presentations, approach and direction. We are looking forward to sending more of our valuable leaders to upcoming conferences.” — Shannon Lusk
    Vice President/Safety Director
    Missouri Valley Contractors

  • “I would be hard pressed to think there is any comparable craft that could rival what I just experienced. Everything about the experience exceeded my expectations. The facility was amazing, the training sessions were very informative and thought provoking, and the service was top notch. From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were taken care of extremely well. I will definitely advocate for additional participation from Harrah’s New Orleans team members. Thanks again!” — Russell Deaver
